The Adventures of Nick Hoffman Voyage to America, is an enjoyable read. The author paints the picture with the way the story is written. When I closed my eyes I could imagine myself right in the story. I also, really enjoyed how the author shared the word of God and the love of God that the Hoffman family had. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next adventure to be released so I can order and read it!

The author was able to successfully blend in an interesting story line with factual events in describing the emigration of his family ancestors from Switzerland to America. The pace of the story was realistic enough to make it an exciting read with a personal touch that made the characters believable.

This is a fast read about Nick Hoffman, a Swiss immigrant on his way to America. Seen through the eyes of the boy Nick, the most interesting portions of the book deal with sailing and blacksmithing which was the technology of the times. I look forward to the next book dealing with Nick's adventures.

This is an easy-to-read adventure novel about a real family and their endeavors when immigrating from Switzerland to America during the 1840s. I thought it provided excellent detail on the difficulties encountered in stagecoach and on-ship travel at that time. More than once the travelers relied on prayers to get through encounters with bandits, sickness and lost without food.
